HP Women’s Challenge—Stage 3–June 15 marks the Stanley to Ketchum stage of the Challenge. Cyclists race 62.3 miles from Stanley over the 8,700 foot high Galena Pass to Ketchum, 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

HP Women’s Challenge—Stage 4–June 16 marks the Sun Valley “Head to Head” Time Trial stage of the Challenge, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. The record is 6:54 for the 3.2-mile course. 

HP Women’s Challenge—Stage 5–June 16 marks the Elkhorn Circuit stage of the Challenge, 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The best time on this 18 lap, 28.8 mile course is 1:17:08. 

Dance Workshop–“Dance in the Mountains” is a seven-day workshop—June 15 to 21—for serious dancers ages 12 to adult. Special classes for ages 9 to 11. Northern Rockies Folk Festival–Rodney Crowell headlines the festival this year. The Grammy-winning artist appears Saturday, Aug. 4, at 8:30 p.m. Friday night, Aug. 3, features the world-beat band Mumbo-Gumbo. The two days and nights of music start at 4 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 3. Sun Valley Arts and Crafts Festival–Discover arts, antiques and crafts at this juried, nationally recognized festival, Aug. 10 through 12. Trailing of the Sheep–Oct. 12 through 14. Following 100-year-old traditional sheep trails, the shepherds move their flocks from summer pastures in the north mountains south through the heart of Ketchum.
